Description
Holbrook Lodge is a lodge built in the mid to late 19th century for the Berners family. It is constructed from yellow and red brick with ashlar banding and dressings, topped with a slate roof. The building has a T-shaped layout with a porch at the angle and stands two storeys tall. It features structural polychromy with colored brick and ashlar bands. The projecting gabled porch has an overhanging roof supported by timber brackets on corbels, adorned with bargeboards. The main entrance is a boarded door set in a segment-arched opening.
On the road front, there is a canted bay with narrow plate glass sashes beneath ashlar lintels and impost blocks. The first floor has a single casement window in a chamfered surround with an ashlar lintel. On the drive front, there are paired narrow plate glass sashes and a casement window on the first floor, featuring similar detailing to the front. The overhanging roof with bargeboards on the gables is supported by timber braces on corbels, and the ridge is topped with cresting. The lodge serves as the entrance to Woolverstone Hall.
