Description

The sunken garden to the rear of Woolverstone House is a significant garden designed in 1901 by Sir Edwin Lutyens for Mrs. Berners. It features stone slabs, brick, and tiles. The garden includes a paved area surrounded by brick retaining walls topped with stone coping. A circular flight of steps, which has tile risers, is built around an inset millstone. This garden is included for its group value with the main house.
