Description

Home Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating to circa 1836, with later alterations. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and comprises a three-bay centre range, with two further bays recessed on each side, arranged in two planes; the inner bays are lower than the centre range, and the outer bays are higher. A central porch features polygonal angle buttresses, a Tudor-arched entrance, and side lights under hood moulds. Shallow polygonal buttresses with ogee caps define the bays of the centre range. The windows are mullion and transom windows with two lights, all under hoodmoulds. Gothic glazing is present in the upper lights, except for the windows in the end bay on the right-hand side. An enriched timber cornice tops the building. The interior has not been inspected.
