Description

TM 13 NE FRESTON FRESTON HILL (west side) 4/8 The Boot Inn GV II Public house. Probably C17 core with C18 - C19 alterations and extensions to left. C20 extension to right. Timber-framed core, cased in Flemish bond brick, with brick extensions, whitewashed. Glazed pantiles to original range with plain tiles to extension. Single storey and attic. Original range: slight central break- forward contains a C20 door and a 16-pane sash under segmental arches. 16-pane sash to left under cambered arch and to right a blocked entrance and 16-pane sash under segmental arches. C19 door and 4-pane sash to Cl9 extension. Dentilled eaves throughout. 3 flat dormer windows with casements to original range, a single flat dormer with 4-pane sash to extension. Swept roof to early part. External stack to right and further stack rising through roof at rear. End stack to extension. Interior: extensively altered but early part shows one wall post, studded partition with down braces and chamfered spine beam with tenoned-in joists.
