Description

This is a pair of former 17th-century timber-framed and plastered houses, now combined into a single tenement. Originally, the northern house featured a cross wing at its south end. The upper storey of the cross wing projects on the west front, displaying exposed timber framing. The building was altered in the 18th century and subsequently. The windows are predominantly double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The southern house was also a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered building, with a jettied upper storey and exposed timber framing on the west and south fronts. The ground storey of the south front features a 19th or early 20th-century shop front. The building is two storeys high, with double-hung sash windows containing glazing bars.
