Description

Orchard Cottage is a 15th to 16th century timber-framed and plastered house, which may have originally been a hall house before a floor was added in the 16th century. The building was renovated in the 20th century and has one storey with attics. It features small casement windows, and there is a restored original window with diamond mullions on the south end. A gabled porch extends from the west front. The roof is tiled, with a gambrel design at the south end, and there are two gabled dormers on the west front and one on the east front. Inside, the cottage boasts well-preserved 16th century moulded ceiling beams.
