Description

Manor Cottage is a 15th to 16th century timber-framed hall house that underwent alterations in the 16th to 17th centuries when a floor was added in the hall block. The building has been restored, showcasing exposed timber-framing with plaster infill. The main section is one storey with attics, while there is a raised two-storey block at the west end, likely the original solar. It features casement windows and a thatched roof, which includes two dormers on the main block and a central chimney stack. Inside, the cottage retains exposed timber-framing and evidence of the original structure.
