Description

Place Farmhouse is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed and plastered house located on the west side of The Green in Hartest. The building features two storeys and includes a cross wing at the west end, along with a later extension to the west. The windows are casements, and there is a gabled porch added in the 20th century at the front. The main block and cross wing have a tiled roof, which is topped by a prominent central chimney stack with three octagonal shafts that have elaborately moulded caps and bases. The roof of the west wing is covered with slate.
