Description

Hatch Cottage is a timber-framed and plastered house dating from the 15th to 16th centuries. It may originally have been a hall house, with a floor inserted at a later date. The house is two storeys high. Windows are mullioned casements, with some original windows uncovered and restored on the east side. A modern gabled porch projects from the front. The steeply pitched roof is thatched. The interior features exposed timber-framing and a substantial early open fireplace. The cottage was renovated and restored in the 20th century.
