Description

The Chestnuts is a timber-framed and plastered house built on an L-shaped plan, with wings extending to the south and west. It features mainly 18th-century external characteristics, while the west wing likely dates from the 16th to 17th century. The house has two storeys and attics, with a three-window range on the front. The windows are double-hung sashes with single vertical glazing bars. The roof is tiled and includes a gambrel roof on the south wing, along with two gabled dormers on the south and east fronts. Additionally, there is a bold coved plaster eaves cornice.
