  1. 5377 MONKS ELEIGH THE STREET (north side) The Post Office and house adjoining TL 9747 54/794 II GV 2 An early C19 timber-framed and plastered building with a slate roof. Two storeys. The ground storey is stucco faced and rusticated with a cornice. Five window range of modern casements on the upper storcy (replacing former sash windows). The ground storey has 2 double-hung sash windows with glazing bars and an early C19 double shop front with glazing bars and fluted Ionic pilasters.
