Description

Fir Cottage is an early 19th-century brick house situated on the south side of Bear Street, Nayland, with its primary facade facing southwest. It stands set back from the road. The house is two storeys high and originally has a four-window range, though a one-window addition was made to the southeast end. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars in plain reveals. A six-panel door, with the upper panels glazed, has panelled reveals, a fluted architrave, and a cornice. The roof is slate and hipped.
