Description
Sparrows Farmhouse is a house that has two sections, originating from the 16th century with later additions and alterations. It is timber framed and plastered, featuring red plain tiled roofs at two levels, with the lower roof on the left side. There is a single red brick chimney stack on the left addition, and additional stacks on the left and rear of the right range. The house has a window arrangement of 2:4, consisting of various small paned vertically sliding sashes, including a long window to the right of the left range. The entrance features a panelled door with a moulded surround and a flat canopy. Inside, there is an inserted ceiling in the right range, an inglenook fireplace with a chamfered mantel beam, a herringbone brick floor, and two 18th-century corner cupboards.
