Description
Shelley House is a house that consists of two builds from the 16th century, with later alterations. The taller left section has a red brick ground floor, while the first and second floors, along with the attic gables, are timber framed with red brick nogging infill. The left two-storey range is timber framed and plastered. There is a large external rear chimney stack on the left range, along with two octagonal stacks featuring moulded capitals and bases. The right range has a large external rear square chimney stack. The house has a window arrangement of 2:2, featuring three-light casements with transoms. On the ground floor, there is a two-light casement on the left and a vertically boarded door to the right. To the left of the right range, there is an 18th-century doorway with a six-panelled door, a moulded surround, a geometrical pattern on the frieze, and a moulded pediment supported by brackets.
