Description

Peyton House is a 17th-century building that was substantially refronted and altered in the 18th and 19th centuries. The front façade is cased in gault brick, with a parapet and a stone band extending across the front between the ground and first floors. It has two storeys and a three-window front, featuring double-hung sash windows with glazing bars in plain reveals. The roof is slate, hipped behind the parapet, and incorporates a 17th-century chimney stack with diagonal shafts (now cemented over) and one flat-headed dormer.
