Description
10 and 12 Damgate Street is a house and shop located in Wymondham, dating from the 17th century and altered over time. The building is constructed of whitewashed brick and features a roof made of black glazed pantiles. It stands two storeys tall.
No. 12, which is the house to the south, has a panelled door on the left side, set within a timber case and covered by a flat hood. To the right of the door is a sash window with glazing bars, topped by a similar window on the upper floor, both featuring gauged skewback arches.
No. 10, the shop to the north, has a plate-glass shop front and a matching sash window on the first floor. The building has a bell-based gabled roof, with a small kneeler on the north side, and a central brick ridge stack. The rear outshut has been rebuilt, and the north gable includes various windows.
