Description
Forsters Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century and later. It features red brick that replaces or encases a timber frame, with some areas whitewashed. The west range is rendered and whitewashed, and the roofs are covered with pantiles and plain tiles. The building has two storeys and attics over the north-south range, forming an L-shaped plan. The west facade is made of red brick and has three-light wooden casements, with one first-floor casement consisting of five lights. The entrance is off-centre to the south, featuring a door with four raised and fielded panels and a moulded architrave in a segmental headed opening. There is a string course at first floor level and attic casements in the gables. The west wall is whitewashed and includes 19th and 20th-century casements. A 20th-century single-storey porch block is located in the north-west angle, linking the two blocks. The west range has two storeys with a pantile roof, and the red brick east gable features a parapet and an internal stack, with 20th-century fenestration.
