Description

The Chestnuts is a late 13th century to early 19th century red brick house located on Mendham Lane in Harleston. It features a hipped roof made of black glazed pantiles and has overhanging eaves. The house is two storeys tall and has two windows, which are sash windows with glazing bars and flat brick arches. The right-hand doorway is adorned with fluted pilasters that are semi-elliptical in section, and it includes an entablature with a fluted frieze and cornice, as well as a rectangular fanlight with bars and a panelled door. There is a modern one-storey addition to the right of the main structure.
