Description

Nos 1 and 3, Mendham Lane are likely 17th century in origin, and have been plastered. They feature a steep, gable-ended roof covered in black glazed pantiles. The building is two storeys high and originally had four windows, though the first-floor window on the left hand side has been blocked. The windows are sashes with glazing bars set within moulded casings. On the ground floor, No. 1 has a mid-19th century five-light shop window with an entablature featuring a cornice, and flanking doorways. No. 3 has a doorcase with panelled pilasters and an entablature, leading to a panelled door. A low, two-storeyed, plastered wing extends from the rear of No. 3.
