Description
The stables, located 5 metres northeast of The Vicarage, date from the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick and topped with a slate roof, featuring two storeys. The ground floor includes loose boxes and a carriage bay, while a hay loft is situated above. The left side of the elevation has a sliding timber door, accompanied by a Diocletian window. To the right, there are double timber doors with a segmental head. The first floor has two timber hay-loft doors. A dentil eaves cornice is present beneath the hipped roof. Additionally, a forecourt wall made of flint and brick extends west from the stables and continues south down Vicar Street, ending at a stone and flint gate pier. This building is included for its group value.
