Description
White House Farmhouse is a cottage, marked as White House Farm on the Ordnance Survey map, with a pink colourwash. It dates from the early 17th century and is likely timber framed with a brick skin. The building has a two-cell plan, which may be a remnant of a three-cell structure. The facade features two bays and is two storeys high. There are two 20th-century casement windows on the ground floor, with a 20th-century porch between them, and two additional 20th-century casements on the first floor. The house has an axial stack with two clustered octagonal shafts. The left gable wall is buttressed with brick and is plastered, while the right gable is timber framed. There is also a later outshut at the rear.
