Description
The Laurels, also known as Laurel Farmhouse, is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It features a rendered timber frame and colourwashed brick, topped with a glazed black pantile roof. The building has a three-cell plan with a service range at the rear, creating an L-shaped layout. The rendered facade has five irregular bays and is two storeys high. It includes 19th and 20th century casements, with two casements to the left of a 20th century gabled porch and one casement to its right. There are five casements on the first floor. The house has a central axial stack and two gable end stacks, with kneelers supporting the shaped gables and a platband along the gable walls. At the rear, there is a lower two-storey brick range, likely built around the same time, featuring random casement windows and dated 1732 on the north gable.
