Description
Hall Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It has a timber frame with a 20th-century pebbledash exterior and a thatched roof. The building features a three-cell plan and has a facade of three bays across two storeys. The windows are 19th-century casements, and there is a rendered plinth. The first bay contains a two-light window with horizontal glazing bars, while there are two three-light windows with a 20th-century thatched porch between them. The first floor has three two-light windows. The house has an off-centre axial stack and a stack at the right-hand gable end. To the left-hand gable, there is a single-storey, one-bay range, likely from the 18th century. Inside, some timber framing is visible, and the chimney is made of brick dating to around 1600. There is a transverse beam with bar stops on jowled principal studs, and originally, there was an unglazed six-light mullioned window in the rear wall with cavetto moulding. The roof is probably from the 18th century.
