Description

The barn at Hill Farm is a Grade II listed structure dating from the late 17th century. It features a timber frame with brick gable ends and a thatched roof. There is a gabled transept entrance on the west side, which has a weatherboarded gable head. The south wall of the transept has been rebuilt in brick. On the east side, there are opposing full height double doors, and the walls are also weatherboarded. The main roof is gabled, supported by a timber frame with medium scantling and medium spaced studs. Inside, there are tie beams on arched braces, queen struts to collars, and two tiers of staggered butt purlins with straight windbracing. Hill Farmhouse, located nearby, is not listed.
