Description

An 18th and early 19th century water mill and millhouse. The mill is weatherboarded with gable ended pantile roofs. The south part stands three storeys and an attic, while the north part is two storeys and an attic. It features horizontal pivot windows with glazing bars and single plank doors to the ground and first floors. A gabled lift projects over a ground and first floor door on the north end, with a hatch underneath and a weatherboarded hoist to the side. All gables have shaped bargeboards. The mill is said to contain mill machinery. The adjoining millhouse dates from the early 19th century, with a ground floor of painted brick and a stuccoed upper section. It has a pantile roof with gable ends and is two storeys and an attic (with attic windows in the gable end), featuring two sashed windows with glazing bars in exposed cases. A blocked doorway is present to the right, complete with pilasters and an entablature. A central brick chimney stack is also visible.
