Description
Starston Hall is a late 16th century to early 17th century house situated on a moated site. It was refurbished and encased in red brick around the mid-19th century. The building features a steep black glazed pantile roof with stepped gable ends and middle-back coping. It has two storeys and an attic, with attic windows located in the end gables. The facade includes four window bays with 19th century, two and three-light casements set in double recessed openings, which have chamfered reveals and brick dripmoulds. The doorway is positioned off centre. There are two rebuilt brick stacks, each with two round shafts made of moulded brick topped with star caps. At the rear, there is a 19th century lean-to. Inside, the hall has stopped and chamfered ceiling beams and wind braces in the roof.
