Description

No. 9 Bridewell Street is a shop building from the early 17th century. It has a timber-framed structure with a colourwashed brick front and some flint incorporated. The roof is pantiled and the building stands two stories high with a dormer attic. The front ground floor features a 20th-century door and window, while the upper floor has a three-light late 18th-century casement window. The gabled roof includes a central sloping dormer that was added in the 19th century. There is an internal gable-end stack on the west side of the rear roof slope, and an outshut is present at the back.
