Description

The Church of St Mary in Burston is a 15th-century building. It features a nave with large replacement Perpendicular windows and a chancel that has been rebuilt, including a south vestry. The south porch has an arch-braced roof. The tower collapsed in 1753, leading to the west wall of the nave being supported by a large red brick buttress. Inside, there is a 15th-century octagonal font adorned with figures around the stem. The church is constructed of flint with stone dressings, and it has slate and tiled roofs.
