Description

Schmetterling House is a 16th or 17th century timber-frame house located on Green Lane in Tivetshall St Margaret. The house is plastered and features a thatched roof with gabled ends, along with two central brick chimney stacks. It has two storeys and an attic, and the windows are 19th century casements. A later gabled porch has been added in front of one of the chimney stacks. Inside, the house showcases exposed timber-framing with stopped and chamfered beams.
