Description
Chestnut Farmhouse is a 17th century timber-frame house located on Station Road in Tivetshall St Margaret. The building is plastered and features fragments of pargetting on the upper storey, which includes arched panels. It has a later, lower pitched roof with gabled ends covered in pantiles. The house is two storeys tall with an attic, which has windows in the end gables. There are 18th and 19th century, three-light casement windows, and a blocked original mullion window located under the eaves. The doorway is off centre and includes a rectangular fanlight above a flush panel door. To the left, there is a modern wooden lean-to.
