Description

No. 34 Exchange Street is a shop built in the mid-19th century. It features a red brick exterior and a slate roof, standing three storeys high with three bays. The shopfront, which was updated in the 20th century, is located to the south of a central recessed door that has a rubbed brick semi-circular arch and a fanlight above it. The building has symmetrically placed sash windows with glazing bars, each topped with flat rubbed brick arches. A triple-bracket cornice adds to its architectural detail. This building is included for its group value with Nos. 39 and 41 Exchange Street.
