Description
Nos. 35 and 37 Exchange Street is an office building dating from the early 19th century, with a doorcase added in 1906. It is constructed of red brick with rendered details and has three storeys and four bays. The right-hand door is recessed and off-centre, featuring attached Corinthian columns that support an open segmental pediment. Above the door, there is a scrolled and eared window surround. The building has sash windows throughout, which include glazing bars, except for the bottom sashes on the ground floor. An egg and dart stringcourse runs between the first and second floors, and there is a box cornice at the top. The roof is not visible.
