Description
No. 17 Bishopgate is a public house that originated in the 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building features a combination of brick and flint construction, topped with a pantile roof that runs at right angles to the street. It stands two storeys tall, with a single-storey front addition. The windows are scattered across the façade, with a door located on the right side within a 20th-century surround. The upper floor has two 17th-century casement windows, while the other windows are 20th-century casements. A fascia cornice runs along the top, and there is a break in the eaves level with a crow-step gable above, as well as a Dutch gable facing the street.
