Description

No. 53 on St. Giles Street is a shop that dates back to the 17th century, with additions from the 18th and 19th centuries. It has been renovated in the 20th century. The building is rendered and features a slate roof, situated on a corner site. It has three storeys and two widely spaced windows on the second floor. The central door is flanked by simply moulded pilasters and has a pediment supported on consoles. The corner shopfront includes a corner door and fascia. To the right of the central door, there are two 20th-century picture windows. The first floor has four sash windows with glazing bars, while the second floor features casement windows. There is a fascia cornice, and the west gable displays I.A.D. in the tie-iron ends.
