Description

No. 63 St George's Street is a former weaver's cottage, which was empty at the time of the re-survey. The building has a plaque that previously displayed "WAW 1670," which has since been removed. It features 18th-century rear additions and is constructed of flint rubble that is partly rendered. The south gable and the south-west corner are made of 20th-century brick. The cottage has a pantile roof and consists of two storeys plus an attic, with a single bay and rear access. The street facade has casement windows that are now covered, and there is a fascia cornice. This building is one of the last remaining examples of single-cell weaver's cottages in Norwich, with "WAW" standing for William and Ann Watson.
