Description
Ann's Pantry is a building that serves as a shop and bakery, likely originating from the 17th century with significant later alterations. The exterior features painted brick with a rendered plinth, while the right end wall is constructed from flint and brick rubble with red brick dressings, topped by a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and three first-floor windows. A 20th-century shop door is flanked by bow windows that have glazing bars, and there is another plain door and window to the left. The first floor of No. 32 includes two early 19th-century casement windows with small side-hung lights, while No. 30 has a 20th-century top-hung casement. Scattered iron ties are visible on the façade. The right gable features a stringcourse above a segmental-headed window, and a tumbled brick parapet on kneelers indicates a modified roof-line that was originally steeper and has since been truncated. Inside, the ground floor has boxed ceiling beams, and the roof has been replaced with a plank ridge.
