Description

No. 7 Eaton Street is a 19th-century house located on the north-west side of Eaton Street. The building features small close-set flints on the ground floor and larger flint rubble above, with red brick details that are partly colour-washed. The left side elevation is rendered, and the house has a pantile roof with two red brick chimneys.

Designed in a 17th-century Dutch style, the main facade is oriented at right angles to the road and consists of two storeys. There are three first-floor windows, with a gable-fronted bay to the left. A panelled door with two glazed panels is positioned to the left of centre and is flanked by brick pilasters that support a gabled pediment adorned with moulded brick details. The casement windows on either side of the door have dentilled brick pediments, and there is another similar pediment above a first-floor window to the left, which features leaded lights.

In the right wing, the windows have glazing bars, including one tripartite round-headed casement. The gable has a dentilled parapet with stone capping, moulded brick kneelers, and a ball finial. The street frontage includes a parallel ridge with a single window range and a dentilled pediment on the ground floor, which has fragments of earlier brick door jambs to the right.
