Description

The Midland Bank, located at No. 16 Eaton Street in Elton, is a house dating from the 18th century with 19th-century alterations. The building is rendered and features rusticated quoins, a thatched roof, one red brick ridge chimney, and a small end stack on the left side. It is a single-storey structure with an attic and has a three-window range. To the right of the center, there is a six-panelled door that has a blocked fanlight with glazing bars, flanked by simple pilasters and topped with an open pediment. On the left side, there is a canted bay window, and large-paned sashes are present throughout, including two gabled dormers. At the rear, there is a two-storey extension made of painted brick with a pantiled roof.
