Description
36 and 38 Mount Pleasant are a pair of mid-19th century houses. They are constructed of yellow brick and feature a hipped slate roof with two end brick chimneys. The buildings are two storeys high and have four first-floor windows. Each house has end pilasters. The entrance consists of a pair of panelled doors, each with a plain overlight, and is flanked by fluted Doric half-columns that have triglyphs. The small dentilled hoods above the doors add to the architectural detail. Sash windows on both the ground and first floors have glazing bars and are topped with flat gauged brick arches.
