Description
60 Mount Pleasant is a house built in the early 19th century, with extensive additions made later. It features painted brickwork and a pantiled roof, along with one yellow brick chimney and another roughcast stack. The projecting wing on the right has a thatched roof. The house showcases Victorian Gothick style with varied window designs, including a 16-pane sash window on the ground floor beneath a thatched verandah. On the first floor, there are two windows with three lights and lancet heads. The bow-fronted wing includes a left-side door in a lean-to stair block, while central French doors with pointed heads are flanked by similar windows featuring Y-tracery and stopped drip moulds. The first floor has casement windows with applied timberwork, and more Gothic-style windows can be found in the lean-to range on the right. Historical maps indicate that the bow-fronted wing was added between 1873 and 1885.
