Description

No. 36 The Close is a house that likely dates from the 17th century and has been altered over time. The building features painted flint, brick, and stone rubble on the ground floor, with painted brick above. It has a hipped pantile roof and a rebuilt red brick chimney on the left side. The house is two storeys tall and has a gable-fronted range of sash windows with glazing bars and horns. The ground floor window is topped with a cambered brick arch. Access to the house is through a panelled door, which is partially glazed, set in a simple reeded doorcase on the right side.
