Description

No. 45 The Close is a former bakery that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of red brick with a pantile roof. The building occupies a corner site and stands two storeys tall. There are two first-floor windows on each side. The shopfront, which is from the 19th century, features a right-angle design with four pilasters. On the east facade, there is a single sash window with glazing bars and a segmental arch, while the north facade has a door in a simple frame and a casement window to the right. At the first floor, there are two sash windows and two casement windows.
