Description
Carrow Hill Hostel is a house from the mid to late 19th century, formerly known as "The Wilderness." It features a rendered exterior and a hipped slate roof, with one yellow brick chimney. The building is two storeys tall with an attic and has five first-floor windows. To the right of the centre, there is a panelled double-leaf style door, which is accompanied by two sidelights and flanked by scrolled pilasters that support a small hood. A canted bay window is located on the ground floor. The other windows are sash types with glazing bars and have moulded wooden architraves, while those on the first floor include decorated panels above. The building has a paired bracket cornice. Additionally, there is a later 19th-century single-storey extension on the left, which features a balustrade.
