Description
79 King Street is a former house that has been converted into offices and flats. Originally built in the 17th century, it was refronted in the 18th century and underwent renovations in the 20th century. The building has three storeys and features five bays. The central door is topped with a semi-circular arch and a fanlight, flanked by Doric columns that support an open pediment. To the left, there is a shopfront with two doors and a deep fascia. The first floor has a Venetian window, while the second floor features a lunette window in the central bay. Sash windows with glazing bars and raised moulded surrounds are present elsewhere on the building. A bracket cornice runs along the top, and there are three gablets on the recessed 17th-century facade.
