Description

70 King Street is a former building of unknown use that is now a shop. It dates from the late 17th century and was heightened in the 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building has a rendered brick south gable and a pantile roof. The shopfront, which is from the 20th century, features fine cast-iron lettering on the fascia. There is a yard entry located at the extreme right. The first floor has mullion and transom windows, while the second floor has casement windows. A flat band runs between the first and second floors. Additionally, there is a 19th-century lucam on the second floor and a central loading door, along with a fascia cornice.
