Description

No. 43 King Street is a former public house, now used as offices, dating from the 19th century. It is built of red brick with a pantile roof and occupies a corner site. The building has two storeys plus an attic, featuring two bays and a single bay to the right. The corner entrance has a pub-front with panelled Ionic pilasters that support a fascia. There is a door on the left side with a rectangular fanlight and a stuccoed flat arch that includes a head keystone. The building has sash windows throughout, each with a stuccoed arch and keystone, while the right side features a rubbed brick flat arch. A lunette with a rusticated surround is located in the gable.
