Description

This is an early 19th century terrace of eight two-storey brick cottages, originally known as Chapel Yard, and formerly Ranters' Yard. The brickwork is limewashed. The roof is covered with pantiles, and the eaves have a toothed band. The original windows were flush-frame sash windows with glazing bars, but many have since been altered. The original doors were four-panel doors, with hoods supported on shaped brackets, although some have now been altered. Nos 2 to 26 form a group with the Former Ranters' Chapel and Burnham House.
