Description
Blenheim House is a 17th century or early 18th century building located on Theatre Road, dating back to 1793. It is two storeys high with an attic and features a T-shaped plan with a wing to the west. The exterior is stuccoed and painted, topped with a pantile roof. The entrance is positioned at an angle and is framed by a Doric doorcase that includes fluted pilasters and triglyphs. Inside, the house has 2- and 6-panel doors with wrought hinges, a staircase with turned balusters at the landing, and a winding stair leading to the attic, which has hewn timbers and a ledged door. The attic also includes a look-out. This house was formerly the residence of a sea captain.
