Description
23 Blackhorse Yard is a building dating from 1793, originally part of a structure that included Nos 23 and 25. It is an early 17th-century building that has been altered and features one storey and an attic, with a casement dormer that has glazing bars. On the ground floor, there is one casement window and one sash window, both with glazing bars and flush frames. The building has two entrances, also with near flush frames. It is constructed of flint with brick dressings, some of which have been repaired. The roof is covered with J pantiles, and there are brown brick chimneys that have drip bands and capping. Inside, there is a massive stop-chamfered beam and a wide fireplace with a beam. No. 23 is part of a group that includes Nos 20, 22, 26, and 28.
