Description

No. 11 Smallgate is an early 17th century building that has undergone some alterations. It features two storeys and an attic, with a timber frame and an overhanging first floor that is now covered in painted stucco. The roof is made of pantiles and there are two gabled casement dormers. On the first floor, there are two casement windows with flush frames. The ground floor is made of painted brick and includes a 19th century shop window. A massive central chimney, which has been shortened, is also a notable feature. No. 11, along with Nos. 11 to 17 (odd), forms a group.
